Ask almost any Riviera student what they’re looking forward to during the school day, and there’s a good chance they’ll mention recess. The playground at Riviera Christian School has become one of the most popular gathering places on campus. Whether students are climbing, racing across the equipment, or playing games with friends, the playground provides an opportunity to be active, build friendships, and enjoy time outdoors.

The playground was completed in 2024 after years of fundraising and planning by Riviera’s Parent Teacher Club (PTC), along with generous support from Riviera families and community sponsors. While students may see it as a fun place to play, it also represents the incredible commitment of parents who invested in creating a space that would serve Riviera students for years to come.

Outdoor play is an important part of childhood. It encourages physical activity, imagination, problem-solving, teamwork, and social development. At Riviera, we love seeing students use the playground to connect with classmates, build confidence, and simply enjoy being kids.

From preschoolers exploring the equipment for the first time to elementary students creating games with friends, the Riviera Christian School playground is a place where memories are made every day.

The playground is also a great example of the strong sense of community that exists at Riviera Christian School. The project was made possible through the dedication of parents, families, sponsors, and volunteers who believed in creating something special for current and future students.

We are grateful to everyone who helped make this project possible and excited to see generations of Riviera students continue to enjoy it for years to come.
